Untitled Eden Game; Dev Diary

June 2026 - TBA
July 9th, 2026

I wanted to write a little dev diary in hopes to encourage me to stay on top of this project also for y'all to get to know me more (I guess y'all would call me the webmaster). I also wanted this for archiveal purposes, record my process so I can look back on what seemed to work and what didn't. I hope it's interesting for y'all to read too!
this first entry will sort of detail sort of the orgins of why I decided to start on this project and how I got the idea (spoiler free of course). I had played around with the idea of making a game for Eden for a while since I like horror based visual novel games and I think video games are a really fun way to tell a story but I didn't know what to do with it. I left the idea to the wayside for awhile until I was talking to my brother who will most definitely look at this page so hello lmao. Anyway- I'm showing him a drawing of Eden and he says, "your art style looks like it'd be really good for a game like Fran Bow or Sally Face," I wasn't sure but I said I do want to make something. I tell him-
"I want to make something a little surreal..."
"game-"
"maybe soemthing like RanFren...."
"game-"
"or [Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk or Milk outside a bag of milk outside a bag of milk]
"game- make a game-"
Y'all get the idea. So that's what plants the idea in my mind. The next day I'm at work, I'm thinking about a possible game, imagining CGs and such. My mind is still pretty empty until I'm working on the outside dogs and suddenly get the idea for this game, its short, sweet, I think it'll be good! I write everything down in a note app in my phone then screenshot my ideas and send it to some friends, they all loved it and thought it will be good. One was even dissapointed wanting more! But thats the overall lore. I've had the whole thing in my head I just need to make it! I've already made a small playlist for the vibes. Today I'll be working on the sprites. I think I need to make the sprites first then do the coding. I need to watch some videos on the engine I already plan on using which is Ren'Py. I'm so excited to bring this thing to life!
